Dougnuts, Christmas, and Family

Ok, so this post is gonna be full of pictures just because I think I know how to do it now! So, get your look on...

First of all, I'm pretty sure that my ring is the same as a fellow bloggers, Kim. Here's a picture of my ring for her to take a gander at and see if I was right. (YAY for good boys picking out good rings) I still look at it every day and admire how great a job John did.

I can't believe it's Christmas time already!! It certainly has been a busy season. From the time Thanksgiving rolled around, it seems like we haven't slowed down. My house is decorated and I'm very pleased with it! After having re-done my tree about 3 times at the beginning of the month, it looks better than ever. The gifts are wrapped, the house is clean -- I'm ready for Christmas.

Here are a few pics of my decorations -- including John's newest ornament from his mom and the spider ornaments I made with my mom.

I'm gonna brag on John some more. He is mister sneaky with the gifts this year. Last year, we didn't do gifts, we got Rock Band and an Xbox -- so no individual gifts. Last night, he decided he couldn't wait any longer, he had to tell me what he was going to get me. He knows me so well!! He knows how much I love organization and how I'm always wanting anything to help me get organized and stay that way. So what has he decided to give me?? A new closet!!!!

We went to Lowe's tonight and got the stuff to organize my closet. I am so very excited. I'll add pictures of before and after when we get it all finished. It will definitely be a work in progress, but I'm so excited.

We are celebrating Christmas just the two of us tomorrow. I'm cooking something special and romantic. I'm generally not a romantic person. I like it, but don't take the time and effort to do it. I have it all planned out in my head -- we'll see if I get it all worked out like I want.

Now for the doughnuts -- John's family does "doughnut day" every year. The Beecher family gets together and makes doughnuts from scratch. It is so much fun! This year (my second year) I was recruited into actually rolling the dough and cutting it out. Last year, I sat back and watched and "shook" the sugar all over the doughnuts. Libby stepped aside and had me do the rolling and the cutting. Josh (John's brother-in-law) was glad that I took over because he's done that every year for 9 years.

You must understand, doughnut day is important. Doug (my father-in-law) is the "Official Doughnut Fryer". He has a hat and apron to make him official. John wore the outfit last year, but this year, he helped me do the rolling. We had so much fun....that's about all I can say about it!

This has been a long post. I'm going to try to make sure I keep up with the holidays and all the activity to come.

Yep, I must agree. Our men did do an EXCELLENT job picking out rings. Funny, I still admire my ring daily, too! It has been the best surprise I have ever received!!
Doughnut day sounds like a lot of fun, and yummy too. Hope you have a Merry Christmas.

They look the same to me. I found some diamond studs that are the same type and shape of diamond. When I went in for one of the yearly inspections the lady showed me them. They are the Superior diamond with the same cut.
