My Two Families

I just want to brag for a little bit about the wonderful families that I have.

First of all, my parents are the best people you will ever meet!! I talk to my dad almost every day about anything and every thing. He is the funniest thing. We like to joke around -- we share a special relationship because of some of the trials we have been through in our father/daughter relationship. My mom is one of the most sincere woman you would ever know. She is quiet, but still has plenty to say. I talked to her this afternoon and loved every minute of it. I forget sometimes she is my mother, and not my best friend. (she IS my best friend -- well, other than John). She is always there to listen to me talk about stupid stuff. I tell her just about everything that goes on with me. I don't talk to her every day, but I do try to talk to her as often as possible!

My in-laws -- wow! I couldn't have married into any better family. They will do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat. My father in law, Doug, comes and works 70 hour weeks with us when we're busy. Sadly, he won't be coming again because he has a new job! YAY! My mother in law, Libby, she told me before John and I were married that she shared a special relationship with her mother in law and wanted that with me. I email her at least once a week to say hi to her and usually get a reply back with what's been going on with her....reminds me...i need to shoot her an email -- she lent her husband to John and me this past week.

My siblings are hard to describe. Our relationships are complicated like any sibling relationship is. My sister I continue to look up to after all these years. It's something I can't help. She got married in November and I haven't talked to her much since then -- giving the newleyweds their space and time. But, it's weird to me that sometimes I can give her advice. My brother is a super cool dude. He's so deep and sensitive, but acts like he doesn't want to be sometimes. I know right now he's feeling a little stuck -- life isn't quite where he thought it would be, but he's a great guy and God's got a perfect plan in store for him. I can't wait to see where he ends up!

My sister in law Katie is a great friend and sister. Our relationship is definitely a fun one. She is my Hobby Lobby buddy! She is the funniest person -- laughs at anything which is good for me because I crack alot of stupid jokes. We have some good heart to hearts too. I couldn't ask for a better sister in law. Her better half, Josh -- we have fun with him too. I think he's glad to have another non-Beecher in the family. He's glad to have someone participate and help out and have other family stories to share.

Now, I have to brag on my husband. I wouldn't be the person I am without him. We have the relationship that I've always dreamed of having with my husband. He is strong where I am weak. and I think I complete him too. He brought the sweetest little fuzzy kitties into our marriage, and I can't imagine life without them either!

Ok, so I'm a little sentimental. I'm proud of the family that I have. I wouldn't trade them for anything. I am happy to have been raised by my parents and in the family I was raised in. John was raised very similarly, so I fit in well with his family and we have never missed a beat! His family is my family and my family is his family -- as it should be.....
